Question
Follow-up from What's the max size a photo can be enlarge based on size while preserving the same quality?
Answer
For a digital image, the size of the is always embedded in the metadata. This means that you can view the original size of an image in the original image.
If you have is a resized image, then the EXIF contains the new size and, unfortunately, the original size has been lost. The EXIF information may still contain the model of the camera which took the image though. This will let you find the maximum possible size of the original image, even though the camera may have been set to shoot at a lower resolution.
